I am going to base my predictions for the year of 2012 on Sibli chart out of all other possible horoscopes of the U.S., since it appears to be most responsive to actual events.
As you may guess, 2012 is promising to be another interesting year.
Since 9/11/2001, every year has been interesting. Until then, I did not even care much about politics, economy, or even mundane astrology. Now that I am clearly part of the “99″%, my life is increasingly tied up with the socio-economic tides sweeping the planet. So now I am taking a closer look at the ominous 2012 – which, according to Maya people, signifies an end to a 5000+ years cycle of the human history.
While I have no doubt that the world is going to survive it, the world as we know it is already changing – just take the look around.
2012 is going to bring more changes, especially to the U.S., since we also have to go through presidential elections.
My money is on Obama, since his Vedic planetary cycles don’t show much change – it will continue to be difficult, unsettling and depressing for him.
Our country is bound to see more turmoil: February 2012 is going to see more “Occupy Wall Street” activity, as Uranus is going back to square off with the U.S. Venus, just as it did in September of 2011, when the movement took hold.
But there are going to be significant changes, as North Node is going over the ascendant in the Sibly chart.
In natal astrology, a Moon’s node going over ascendant or midheaven signifies drastic change in that person’s life. I don’t think it should be that much different in mundane astrology. So I wold expect significant changes for the U.S. that begin to mount as of mid-January.
A lot of it would have to do with economy, as Mars is turning retrograde on 1/24/12, slowing everything down business-wise. It will hold the world’s economy at stand-still until 4/14, when it finally goes direct.
It starts its retrograde motion in 23′ of Virgo, while sitting on the U.S.’ Neptune in 10th house of the Sibly chart. Neptune, meanwhile, is finishing going over the U.S.’ Moon, which it has been doing for most of 2011. I read it as confusion and deception at the helm of the U.S. government that is completely putting the country adrift, and the U.S.’ stand in the world comes into question once again. Quite possible, our credit rating may get downgraded again.
People are going to take to the street in greater numbers in February as Uranus squares the U.S. Venus and the Sun goes over the U.S. Moon.
Since Saturn is squaring the U.S. Pluto in the 2nd house (financial assets}, the dismal economic prospects are more than certain through out most of 2012, especially through the first half of the year.
Even though Mars goes direct in April, Venus turns retrograde on5/15/12 and until 6/27/12, when it turns direct, we find ourselves in socio-economic la-la land.
So, January – June of 2012, the business community is likely to find itself hang in limbo of uncertainties. Only as we touch the terra firma in July, we might be able to begin to assess the damage.
Meanwhile, Uranus and Pluto begin to square each other in the sky in June and keep on doing so through early October.
Since each of these planets is capable to bring a revolution on its own, 2 of them are bound to stir mankind in every corner of the world. Serious wars/ accidents/ natural phenomena are also quite possible when these 2 planets are at each other throats. Iran is going to be most affected, if one of the mundane chart I found for it is correct – since it places Iran’s Moon right under transiting Uranus and being squared by transiting Pluto.
China is also likely to be in the news because of sudden transformations, as its Sun is being opposed by Uranus and squared by Pluto at that time.
European Union, Greece and Israel don’t get a direct planetary hit, so they will pull through OK for now.
For the U.S., the Fall of 2012 brings more positive outlook and, in December, we may even begin to feel that troubles are behind us.
Of course, Pluto cruising through Capricorn until 2024 is not going to let us off the hook in 12/12. It will ensure that the world’s governments and corporations transform themselves completely by then, so it can begin to decide the human kind’s survival while moving through Aquarius.
But as far as 2012 is concerned, it is going to be one of the most tumultuous and difficult years in history, yet it does not spell the end of anything – not even the end of our troubles.

COUNTDOWN TO BIG BANG
Posted by Ella Moss on May 23, 2010
In my article Financial Crisis is not over until it’s over, I’ve predicted some sort of disaster within a week of 8/1/10.
I also said that February and April of 2010 are the months where we can see the preview of what is about to happen.
Well, these months were abuzz with Greece predicament.
We also had an Iceland volcano erupting on 4/14 and paralyzing air travel all over the world, especially in Europe.
Then we had the Gulf of Mexico oil spill on 4/21.
All these financial disasters, man-made and natural are due mostly to Saturn / Uranus opposition.
Now, 7/22/10 – 8/12/10 we have the opposition of these 2 planets but with Jupiter added to the mix. Jupiter tends to exaggerate all situations greatly. Thank God, it is 2 degrees ahead of Uranus during these 20 days, which diffuses the situation somewhat.
But it also exactly squares Pluto, giving more power to Pluto’s hard blows.
Most importantly, Mars enters the mix on 7/29, acting as the trigger of events 7/30 – 8/5.
Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto are all the hard hitters of the zodiac, and they all appear to battle each other during the outlined dates, with Mars conjoining Saturn (structure) in opposition to Jupiter and Uranus (sudden explosion), and they all square Pluto (power quake).
Now that’s in the sky. It only affects us if we have natal planetary points within their battle zone.
Unfortunately for us, Americans, we have one – it is Venus.
Whether the true birthday of the U.S. is on 7/2 or 7/4, American Venus would be hit.
Venus represents money, possessions and relationship in any horoscope, whether mundane or natal.
So as the country, we are bound to be hit. In fact, we are likely to be blindsided, thanks to Uranus, who likes to hit from behind when we least expect it.
What can we expect? Most likely, some kind of huge man-made disaster that is coming from Europe. I say so based on February and April events, that are pointing towards across the Atlantic.
We may be spared physical casualties, but are likely to be hit in the wallet with an unusual force. Discounted euro could certainly do that to us.
Of course, the planetary warfare is factual, while European disaster is my educated guess.
It can be worse. It can be a terrorist act that overshadows the WTC one.
It can even be war. Let’s not forget that the crazy North Koreans downed a South Korean ship recently.
In fact, more than a decade ago, I’ve bookmarked these dates in my ephemeris as a possible onset of another world war.
But always an optimist, I believe that mostly it is our wallets that would suffer. But since Venus also signifies relationships, our political relationships are also at great risk.
There is also total solar eclipse on July 11 that worries me, although it is only going to be visible in Southern Hemisphere and falls in 19′ of Cancer, which makes it seemingly safe for the U.S.A. But I came across an interesting article by a fellow astrologer David Crook, Total Solar Eclipse of July 11. Some of his insights make me downright scared.
In July, I am going to see my Guru, Sai Baba, who is like Jesus Christ of our times. He even brought Jesus Christ to me once in a dream that still remains more vivid than my so-called reality.
On 8/1 I am heading for the hills of Catskills (and I hope, I am not too late then).
I certainly do pray for all of us.
It would be good that whoever reads this post would join me in my prayer.
Now, for a light-hearted finish to this article, I’ve written something for devotees of Secret and Power of Attraction:
THE SONGS IN MY HEAD
In the fabric of time there is a black hole
That swallows dreams as we’re getting old
(It looks like a subway tunnel where all trains
disappear to when they are needed the most
It feels like the very familiar pain
of a body limb that’s been lost)
Once again I see dreams falling into the Void,
While stepping on pieces of broken hearts.
But the hopelessness is out of vogue
So I must hold onto sanity hard
I open my third eye at last
Looking for reasons present and past
I shout all out but silence inside
And I hear a song making grooves in my mind:
“Got to love, got to love
who you are
Got to love, got to love
where you’re at
Got to love, got to love
what you have
LEARN TO APPRECIATE”
If I could sing, I would sing right back
(not quite mad yet, but growing madder)
My other song on another track:
“But I do, I just want it better!”
Instead, I hear a strange refrain:
“Only wrong dreams are dreamt in vane.
Get away from the hole,
It’s not good for the soul.
Got to love, got to love
who you are
Got to love, got to love
where you’re at….

FINANCIAL CRISIS: IT’S NOT OVER UNTIL IT’S OVER
Posted by Ella Moss on October 2, 2008
So the senate approved the bailout, and the house is soon to follow. Do you think, America, you would be able to exhale soon?
Here come predictions from the pen of an astrologer:
Astrologers base their predictions on horoscopes calculated for the precise time of birth at the place of birth (beginning), because they presume there is certain order in the Universe, and the time and place of birth define our position within that order. The position within the order in turn defines further development, as order limits the possible outcomes to a manageable number. The less there are possible outcomes, the more they become predictable.
Astrologers create horoscope for birth of people, countries, and everything else that has a known beginning.
Although no one can say with certainty they know when the U.S. was born, there is a consensus that this country came into being on or around 7/4/1776. Most of the astrologers favor either the chart with Gemini rising, which places the Moon at 18′ of Aquarius in 10th house, or the chart with Scorpio rising, which places the Moon at 25′ of Aquarius in the 4th house. After 9/11, the other chart, called “Sibly” became popular – because when astrologers are uncertain of the time of birth/ beginning, they attempt to rectify charts (finding more probable birth time) based on dramatic pivotal events. The Sibly charts gives the U.S. Sagittarius ascendant, and places the Moon at 27′ degrees of Aquarius.
All other planets remain in the same degree, because they move much more slowly then the Moon or house cusps. Thus, all three the most popular U.S. horoscopes place Venus at 3′ of Cancer.
Venus is the planet that is always associated with money and relationships. And my predictions of the Horrible Economic Depression (greater than the Great One) are based on upcoming planetary assault on the U.S. Venus.
Interestingly enough, history confirms that conditions are ripe. Here is what Wikipedia says about economic causes of the Great Depression of 1929: “Although its causes are still uncertain, the basic cause was a sudden loss of confidence in the economic future. The traditional explanation is a combination of high consumer debt, ill-regulated markets that permitted malfeasance by banks and investors, cutbacks in foreign trade, and growing wealth inequality, all interacting to create a downward economic spiral of reduced spending and production”. Sounds familiar? Are not we in debt up our ears now? Have not our ill-regulated markets permeated malfeasance by banks and investors? Don’t we have growing wealth inequality? The famous “Trickle-down economy” that keeps on trickling up instead? This is 2008, but, obviously, we do not learn from history.
So here is what the planets say about now, which is the setting for the next 5 years:
The Moon’s nodes are passing over MC/IC axis in the “Scorpio” U.S. chart. In “Gemini rising” chart, they have just past the Moon and are about to pass over MC/ IC axis. The Moon’s nodes going over the luminaries and / or chart’s angles herald major changes of direction that are brought on by a pivotal event.
In the “Gemini rising” chart, Jupiter, “The great Exaggerator”, also opposes the U.S. Sun in the second house of $$$, while the Moon that is reeling from nodal transit rules that $$$ house.
BUT THIS IS JUST A BEGINNING!…
In December of 2008, Pluto settles in Capricorn.
Pluto is so tiny, that it was even demoted by astronomers from planetary status. But astrologers, and all who went through a major Pluto transits and lived to tell about it, know better. Pluto is “the Wrecking Ball” of the zodiac. Its mighty punch is so painful, that we either die or transform.
When it went through Scorpio, its own sign, that deals with abuse, taxes, sex, death and rebirth, we had Reaganomics, and AIDS epidemic. Now Pluto is ending its 13 yrs transit through Sagittarius, the sign of religion, philosophy, foreign relations, higher studies and judicial systems. The costs of colleges went through the roof, religious fanaticism rose to the point of Global War of Terror, and we scaled down democracy by adopting “The Patriot Act” and torture procedures.
Pluto screws with our heads by making us compulsive-obsessive with regards to wherever it is at the moment. When it was in sex, death and taxes sign, we obsessed on those topics. When it went through religion sign, we lost our sobriety on account of faith.
So now it is at the door of Capricorn, the sign of government and corporate structures, of rules and regulations, of fear and ambition. So in the next 15 years, expect us obsessing in fear on rules and regulations, while being overly ambitious, and while all government, political and corporate structures undergo DEMOLITION. Some societies will die, others will be transformed.
By the way, there is another possible U.S. chart, based on letters of John Adams, who pinpoints America’s birth at 7/2/1776 at about quarter to noon in Philadelphia. That chart would have the U.S. Venus at 0′ of Cancer, so the wrecking ball (Pluto) may come to the U.S. economy (Venus) as early as December of 2008.
If any other chart is correct, February is a more likely time of reckoning.
Since economy always dictates politics, we are likely to see global powers falling like dominoes.
By the end of November of 2009, we would begin to cry for mercy, as our economy would get completely stalled: Saturn, the planet of lack and limitations, joins Pluto, the Terminator, in the assault on the U.S. Venus, the planet of Money. It begins to squeeze it from Libra, the sign of relationships and justice. So as global trade gets restructured, we get the foul end of the deal. Saturn would limit our reach into the packets of other countries. We may face the retribution for our misadventures on foreign soil and/ or for amassing huge deficit (read “debt to other countries”).
In 2010, we may begin to exhale, hoping that the worst is behind us, only to be hit below the belt in the summer of that year. I am favoring 8/01/10 as another historic date – when the world is going to shake from the thud of the falling giant hitting the ground.
This is how it is going to come about from the planetary point of view:
By June of 2010, Jupiter and Uranus join forces in Aries and enter the war on the U.S. Venus. You may say, they join the robbery in progress of American public.
Uranus operates by coming out of left field with a sudden shocking occurrence. It rules electricity, and it always aims to shock the system. Jupiter always exaggerates and blows things out of proportion. After all, it is the Planet of Plenty. Put these two together, and you get an immense unexpected shock to the system. Since they are going to square the U.S. Venus, the Planet of Money, we are going to go through an immense sudden expense (another BAILOUT, much bigger than the present one?).
On 8/1/2010, Mars, the planet of war that always acts like a trigger, joins Saturn in Libra in squeezing daylights out of the poor U.S. Venus, while Pluto in retrograde motion is circling around that Venus, and Jupiter with Uranus deliver huge shocks to it from Aries, the sign of war and ragged individualism.
You can envision the conclusion.
By the way, according to known U.S.A charts, the only planetary culprit for Great Depression of 1929 was Uranus, assaulting the U.S. Sun from Aries, with Saturn playing a secondary fiddle in Gemini rising and Sibly charts. Interestingly, Saturn in November of 1929 was traversing the same degrees of Sagittarius, as Pluto does now.
With Pluto being so much mightier than Saturn, the 2010 bro-ha-ha is going to be MUCH BIGGER. Those of us who will live past 2014, will be able to tell the tale, and they would give it an appropriate name. But by 2015, Pluto will be done with the U.S Venus and Sun. Other planets will fall off sooner than that.
Meanwhile, in May of 2010 I am planning to stock up on all non-perishable food I am going to be able to find.
Whoever wins the 2008 elections is going to be at the helm of the wildest ride ever.
As Chinese saying goes, blessed are those who live during interesting times.
